Acer G257HLBIDX monitor HDMI audio issues

So just today I purchased myself a G257HLBIDX monitor...As far as I had read, it was stated the monitor does provide some basic audio features. I limited it through my HDMI on my GPU and happily start up my PC. The resolution was neat, the imagine was great, I log in my Windows 10 and I go to my setting configurations as I was expecting that I`d have to at least set the default sound device as the monitor...

As I had thought, it was require so after getting that done, I get on YouTube to try out volume so I can adjust it...But to output. The monitor was recognized as a speaker and in the volume mixer it was showing to be receiving audio but there was no sound.

There are no drivers for the monitor either so I can`t blame it on that. I would like some help.

Thanks to anyone that might take the time to read and reply this post.

    Midnighthunter,

Go into your sound playback options and make sure that your default audio is set to, which I think you have, do you have headphones or speakers plugged into the audio out port on the back of the monitor since it does not have speakers built in?
