Will the new AG6-710 with the GTX 980 even run the x34 monitor that is marketed with it?

I am going to say yes, unless you put a lower video card inside the desktop, which would be sacrilege. Smiley Tongue

From personal experience, I had no problem. I actually originally tested the X34 on a 970 and was playing a number of games (H1Z1, GTAV, etc...) without issue. Obviously, a 980ti or Titan X will run it better than a 980, but all will run it just fine.

    hi there,

Not sure if this is helpful!

I am using Predator x34 with AG6-710. Once you are on 3440x1440, you will never go back!!!

But what I found, which might be OS/Nvidia Drive issue! If I clock-up the X34 to 100Hz, the screen start to flicker so I am forced to use 95Hz. Games all operate wonderfully, but some will need tweaking to recognise 3440x1440!

(Previous Rig, with similar specs but Nvidia GTX 770, I was able to clock up to 100Hz without problems, but OS was Win Ultimate x64)

PS: What most will effect you going into X34 are the games! You will find yourself constantly chaning the games' video settings to balance between performace, quality & Screen resolution!

    Cheers

    Sam
