I got an Aspire E15 E5-521-23KH and the DVD player will not work.

I have an Aspre E15 E5-521-23KH and the DVD player will not read my movies. So I tried several different movies and now the DVD will not open and eject my movie. They are all brand new movies that I got as Christmas presents too and they worked on my toshiba and on my DVD player for the TV. I do not know how to get the DVD drive open or how to get the movie out. Can someone please help me with this or let me know if there are similiar issues. It is brand new I just got it as a Christmas gift. Thank you for any assistance. Toree

There is a few thing you can try to do to open your DVD player....

 

First if the button isn't working you can go to your File Explorer and then click on the right mouse button on the DVD drive about the 4th one from the bottom is a eject command... if that don't work

 

You can try and Manually Eject the drive with a Paper Clip. With that you would make the clip straight and then there should be a little hole on the front of the door of your dvd drive. with the Clip slide it in the hole until you feel it stop. Then with little pressure you can push it a little more and you should see it start to move out..

 

Not sure what software you are using, Some systems that went to Windows 10 don't have a DVD player if there was not one to move with the upgrade. Or someone may have done a Clean install... 

 

If you need there are some Free Apps or software for watching movies in Win10 or you can get the Microsoft one for around 15 from the App store..
