Windows 8 (not 8.1) won't boot, constant blue screen loop. Aspire V3-771G-6851

I have tried using the power button reset method to gain access to the recovery partition with no luck.  F10 doesn't work since I am running 8 instead of 8.1.  Can't boot into safe mode with F8 or Shift + F8.  When I do F12 for the boot menu, the only option is the regular operating system drive partition, no options for the recovery drive.  Any ideas?  What I need is a Windows 8 ISO to boot into for recovery.  Don't want to lose any data.  I have been lazy and didn't back up anything.  Also the BIOS shows the had as frozen in the password sections some of the time, other times it isn't.

as F10, do you mean Alt+F10 at boot?

Alt+F10 is Acer erecovery, doesn't matter which windows version it is.

as far as i know windows 8.1 installation media can work to enter safe mode, try to download the iso from here, using Microsoft download tool:

Yes Alt + F10 (sorry), so it won't matter that I have 8, the 8.1 usb recovery ISO will allow me to refresh 8, or at least get into safe mode?

At least you will be able to enter safe mode and recover your files.

If you try to refresh, probably it will update to win8.1
