Battery not detected, not able to uninstall it M5-581T

After having a virtual machine running Linux, and upgrading from windows 8 to 10 I seem to be having a lot of issues with my computer. Tried resetting everything to factory settings, upgrading the BIOS, but no result.

The biggest problem right now is that the computer doesn't seem to detect the battery, so it won't charge. Read somewhere that you can try uninstalling and reinstalling The Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, but for some reason I can't seem to do that. Every time I try to uninstall, it tells me to restart the computer for the changes to take place, but after it starts up there's no change, the battery is still there.

Why won't my computer uninstall it? Is there something else I can try?
