How to switch to the Nvidia 960M for the USB-C output?

I have recently bought a Aspire Nitro Black Edition with an Nvidia 960M Video Card, this laptop has a USB-C out port and I figured I could power my 4k monitor at 60HZ over the USB-C port with a Google USB-C to Displayport cable, but when I try to do this the monitor blanks out every 5 seconds or so, and when I look at the Nvidia COntrol Panel it appears the the Intel Graphics is driving the USB-C port and I cannot figure out how to switch it to the Nvidia 960M?  I'm guessing that is why the USB-C port cannot power my 4K monitor at 60HZ.  Please help or I will have to return laptop, thank you.
