Aspire E3-111 - touchpad drivers disappeared

Hey all, hope this is the right place to post.

I'm running the E3-111 on Windows 10. The touchpad driver went missing in Device Manager after I updated my drivers with some crappy IObit software - can't rollback and the freeware version didn't offer to back up. Lesson learnt. Tried installing the most recent Synaptic driver for my model, then the factory default (I assume, it was win7), and nothing gives.

I have a 'HID-compliant touch pad' driver under 'Human Interface Devices', weirdly, as well as 'Synaptics HID Device'. DM says they're up to date. Nothing under 'Mice and other pointing devices'. Troubleshooting Hardware and Devices comes back clean. Any clues? Thanks.

As it turns out the freeware offered a restore point, and that's fixed everything. This can be locked, thanks.
