Why is there no webcam driver available for Aspire R 14?

I recently purchased an Aspire R 14. The webcam of the system is not working properly. After troubleshooting, I was able to get feed from the webcam for a while but the feed frooze after a while. I refreshed the system as suggested by Acer support, but now there is no feed from the camera even though the power light comes on. Below is screenshot from the current condition in camera app:

From my research online it is clear that Windows 10 is known to have issues with integrated webcams with its generic driver, and the system is using microsoft generic driver.
