PLEASE HELP! received recovery disks, dont work, cant get in contact with support

my Acer Aspire One died on me this past spring and now im trying to revive it.

i called support for microsoft who sent me to acer who sent me to the 3rd party folks.  the guy who answered the phone was kind of a jerk and didnt listen when i asked questions.  so.... 

i had to replace the hard drive on my Acer and downloaded a blank copy of Windows 7. since i cant read the sticker with the product key on the bottom, it is not a fully functional copy. i ordered the recovery media is on a disc, yet my model doesnt have a disc drive.  i got a friend to help me get this into a bootable usb but the boot process will only read the first recovery disk ISO.  where do we go from here?  he has spent many irritating hours trying to figure this out and every time we try a new thing, it fails yet again.
