I've got this (perhaps) not upgradeable Aspire R3610

I've had my R3610 for a few years now.   I upgraded to Windows 8 and then 8.1 from the Windows 7 it came with.

Recently, having read the info on Windows 10, I decided to have a pc service dept do the upgrade for me.

Not being the totally dependent type, I had tried 3 times to do the internet install.  It always seemed to fail at

the very end of the 8-10 process.  Then I found out that the service techs were unable to do it as well.

They told me that Acer had not provided the drivers required and that Microsoft (understandably) doesn't

write drivers for 3rd party hardware makers.

I've never been successful in finding support on the Acer USA site for the Aspire R3610.  So I wasn't completely

surprised that I couldn't find the model number on their board now or in these forums.

The unit is basically a small Atom driven pc intended for media work and is rather low powered.  I wasn't expecting

Windows 10 to vastly improve it but I still see it as an investment that I made in Acer's reputation.  I read one online comment by a user who had successfully upgraded his/her 3610 so I'm thinking it might be possible using another

model number's drivers (perhaps preinstalled before I try the upgrade myself . . . yes, again!).

Any suggestions on how this might be achieved would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
