Acer A200 ... I'm locked out! I power up n get key board

HELP!  I have an Acer A200 tablet.  Got it for my son years ago for Christmas. He put a password (numbers) on it, he then didn't use it. I found n fired it up only to find that the time and a key board for me to enter the password comes up. I asked my son what the code was and he does not remember. 

 

I logged onto this forum for some help. I need to wipe it clean and start fresh. Here's the problem ...... I followed the directions that are posted on here for the A200. I followed them to the T. I wait .... And when it comes back on the time and key board is still there.

 

does anyone have any other suggestions I can try?  Please give some advice!!!

(with a data/wifi connection available and tablet connected) Normally if you input the wrong PIN/password more than 5 times, it will appear a "Forgot your PIN?" button, you can tap it and enter your google account (if your son had one) and then unlock it.
