replaced SSD on Aspire s7-392

I cloned the original 256g SSD drive with its multiple partions.  The next day I installed the Samsung 512g drive and it booted up just fine.  Then I realized that I had changed a few files after cloned the drive.  So I put the original drive into the external enclosure, but Windows cannot read it and asks if I want to format the drive.  The enclosure worked fine with the new Samsung drive but now is not showing the original drive.  So I have three questions:

(1)  Is there something about the RAID that prevents me from using the original drive as an external drive?

(2)  If I reformat it will the drive work as an external drive?

(3)  Is the only way to retrieve the files I changed after cloning the drive to take apart the laptop again and reinsert the original drive and copy the files to a USB stick?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Dave

if your S7 had a RAID setup with the single SSD, probably the SSD has a controller that splitted the total storage amount as 2 SSD, so it's why windows can't read it and ask to format.

you need to put back your original SSD on your S7, copy the files you need.
