Can I purchase a replacement battery for my Acer B1-730 tablet?

Acer tablet is just over 12 months old. bought on-line and gently used by my adult daughter. But just recently it suddently stopped working on the battery and now only works when I keep the charger cable plugged in. She asked me to take a look at it and find out if anythign can be done for it.

When its charging all is working fine, battery indicates at or near a full charge....

As soon as I unplug the chargr the screen goes blank, unit dies. When charger plugged in it reboots from cold start and then i can use it normally.

the battery charge status indicates nearly full charge sometime . but always above 85%.....

I have checked for software updates and the devices indicates that it has the most curent patch/software.

I have downloaded some battery apps to try and recalibrate the battery but these do nothing to change the sitution.

I have opened up the case and removed and reseated the battery connector. When I removed the connector I  checked the battery voltage (measured between RED and BLACK leads/terminals) and  it indicates 4.3V.

When all back together, no change in behavior.

Is there anything else I can do?

Is buying a new/replacement battery an option that anyone else has tried/had success with?

thanks
