A1-840FHD -- Haptic feedback is inconsistent

I have this model of the Tab 8.  I have the haptic feedback turned on at two places:

1) Settings > Sounds > Vibrate on Touch

2) Keyboard level

The haptic feedback (vibration) works intermittently.  The haptic feedback should work when I press the back/home/list capacitative buttons, as well as when I type on the keyboard.  And it does, but only at random, literally working one moment, and then cutting out the next.

I tried asking Acer support, but they were absolutely unhelpful.  They basically told me to talk to Google.  Has anyone else experienced any similar problems?  I thought perhaps a power-saving feature was kicking in, but I don't see that feature anywhere in my settings.

There is not much more to do, apart trying a factory reset and check if this can fix your issue.
Backup your personal data before do it.

    Settings/backup&reset - factory data reset
    I'm not an Acer employee.
