I have a Acer Aspire v3-472p-324j I need to replace the keyboard.  I cannot find a manual, video, or I am not sure if this is even possible.  If anyone has done this before or maybe can explain that would be greatly appreciated.  I have the machine all taken apart still unable to find the release pins or how.  Frustrated

Thanks in advance,

Sam

This guy doesn't believe in lighting, but you can get the idea. There are ,I beliebe, 5 clips across the top of the keyboard and you can use a plastic card or pey tool to release them as you pry upward.Once you get the first one, you got it made.

This is the same as your V3-472.

Becareful when you get it loose because there is a short ribbon cable under there.

Isn't that a great video. You might want to make a good one and post it to Youtube.

That's a heck of a note. Do you see some tiny screws in the back of the plate the keyboard is in?

no there are no screws on the back of the keyboard.  I have replacement several keyboards and never seen one like this.  It appears to have a sliding function that releases.  I dismanteled the whole thing and just not sure if I need to use some force to get it out.

Do these plastic points I marked red look like they were heated and mashed a bit to lock it in?2015-11-18_2110.jpg

that does look my computer.  Those spots you marked look correct.  Is there a right way to loosen those or do you know the correct way to take off keyboard from the computer ?

If you have removed all the screws I have marked and it stoll won't come off, you will have to figure out which of the plastic things I marked earlier are holding it and grind, cut,off tto get it free. It doesn't look like it was designed to be replacable.
