What is the Model of your unit so we could give you better help with your problem

If your talking about a CMOS battery, you can get them at WalMart or any place that has watch/pen battery.... It is most case a CR2032, same as some car alarms OEM and some aftermarket.

If it is CMOS battery, Take off your side of the desktop, Most times 2 screws, slide to back. Then the battery is small round, there is a clip, you pull this clip back and it pops out. Put the new one in same as the old one and push down until it clips in.

You might want to unplug the unit first.

Hello James! I have an Aspire E11, E3-111-COWA. There is nothing around the sides or bottom that indicates any battery opening. But there are about a dozen screws on the bottom cover, that's all. Any other options? Thanks!

If you mean the main battery, it's easy.

Take out the 13 screws and lift off the cover. Nothing is attached.

Unplug the arrow marked plug and remove the two screws. Lift out the battery.

If you mean the CMOS battery,

You will need to take off the bottom, battery,HDD and wifi card, and then the main motherboard because the

CMOS battery is on the other side of it.
