E5-511-P2D6 touchpad issues

I bought an Acer Aspire E5-511-P2D6 3 months ago and I am totally disgusted with the precision touch pad. This is the very first Acer product that I have ever purchased and the very last one I ever will because of the touch pad. I have had absolutely nothing but trouble with this so-called PRECISION touch pad and have had to fight with my computer every time I have had to use it. In my opinion the PTP should not be installed on ANY of your products or on anyone else's for that matter! Whoever thought it was a good idea needs to give their head a really good shake. Needless to say, I am very upset!!!!

I feel your pain, K.  The PTP is a struggle to get accustomed to.  Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. There are several YouTube videos available that help explain how to use it, because 'normal' TP skills don't really apply.  I found them helpful, and you might too.  And the issue isn't brand specific either.  HP and others use the same hardware and software as Acer in many of their laptops, and people complain just as much to them.  Check out YouTube and maybe Google a few other sources and you could get some relief from the 'Painful Touch Pad'.
