No Boot Axc-115

OK have a 2014 AXC-115 that was bought back in 6 of 2014, So it is out of warrenty. Now it has done what seems like many other people have done and no longer boots.....

Only thing that has been different to this system is 8 gig total Came with 4 gig ram.

I thought maybe it was an issue with the Ram so I tried them in each slot took out the new 4 gig tried to have it back to new. No go.

So with everything that is out there about this machine it seems that it is a common problem and everyone that has had this issues seems to find no fix for it.

So here is what I have done so far., Removed all ram and it does long beep, Add ram in Slot one try to boot only power light flashing, Tried Ram in other slot, Tried the other stick in both slots. Again no go. Took out Battery pressed the power button a couple of times waited 10 minutes and put battery back in still no boot, Tried to Clear CMOS with Jumpper and again only flashing power light when I try next boot. I then took a 550watt Power supply and connected that to the MB tried to turn it on and again only Flashing Power Light......

So here is something I am wondering. This does have a PCIe-16 Slot and I do have a card at my office away from my home office that I can turn into a Half Height card. So I am wondering if anyone knows if it could be done? There are a couple of Empty jumpers that is next to the DVD Sata Port, Jumper RO2027 and RO2028 that have GPI02 for the RO2027 and GPI01 for RO2028 and wonder if these 2 jumpers areas would effect the ability to setup a different Card?

I love my Acer products and have more then I should admit. it is sad really that out of everything that has been owned this computer has to be the one that goes bad. Sadly it was for my sister. When I told her to mail me this one that I bought her and I would send her a loaner she asked if it had to be an Acer? In short YES.... All my other computers are to heavy and more then she needs. So sent her a 603 to use for a little while while I figure this issue out? Worse case I let her keep my 603 and I buy a new one for me for Christmas lol.... But I would rather get the 115 back up and running for her.

Ok well I went an picked up my OLDER ATI card that is DVI, Installed it in the Slot and there was no change. Only the Flashing Power light.... So if it was able to run a Card like this I guess I would still need to get to Bios to make any changes.....

Sadly this 115 is like my 603 and 603G systems and have the CPU built on board..... So now I guess I find out what ACER will charge for a new MB. I am sure it may be more then I find this computer is worth...

I will keep a look here incase there is something that someone has found out about these. Seeing I can't do anything until Monday I have a few days before I can contact Acer Store anyway...

I can never have to many Acers Smiley Happy

I'm thinking you probably have a extra HDD laying around and a install disk.

Put the HDD in and see if it will load and run Windows. That would tell you if the MB is good or not.

Hello and Thanks for the Reply. Yes you are right I have a few extra Drives and other hardware. I had tried to install another 1tb and then a 500gig Clean drives and one taken from my 603 that was my 500gig that is used as a back up to one of the AXC-603's.

Sadly this was all done before my last post.

Since then I have taken the MB out of the case and have now confirmed that it is a NO BOOT becasue of a bad CPU/APU sadly from what it looks like I would have to assume that it was due to not having enough cooling of the cpu. Seeing this computer was used by my sister and her little girl for watching youtube children videos, checking emails and some web surfing it says this isn't a good FAN/CPU combo. The monitor wasn't anything to fancy so it wasn't like it was due to to much to the Monitor. Also only ran 1 off the HDMI. This was also how she used the sound so there was no speakers other then over the Display...

The sad news is that over this last 15 months that this AXC-115 was used only 1350 hours. My sister thought it was around 4 hours a day, but when I connected her HDD to my FIle server and my software looked up the drive use, it reported it as only 1350 hours of use and 262 power cycles and that would translate to a little over 5 hours a days. However not ever day was the same I am sure. What this information tells me is that this computer with light use, no Dust Build up or malfunction of the cooling fans. Sadly it dont help much but the max temp the HDD was recorded at was 45c or 113f so that don't really say what the temp was of the MB or CPU or how long it was at that TEMP.

So looking at the CPU Grease it is still like new and not hard as a rock like I have seen some other systems, but here is the underside of the MB and sadly on both shades of color you can see that it isn't any good. Sorry I can't get much better of a Picture then the following.
