X34 gsync pricing vs freesync version

With the recent price drop of the X34 freesync version ($889 on amazon with free shipping, even cheaper elsewhere), the G-sync version now has a price premium of more than $400 over it's AMD equivalent.  The premium is more than the total cost of Acer's 24" g-sync monitor.  For this price you could get a high end AMD GPU along with the freesync version, which is what I'm tempted to do.  I understand that some of the gsync ones can overclock higher than 75hz, but is this really worth the massive difference in price?

To a lot of the gamers in this forum, yes, it is. It's out of my budget and luckily my eyes are bad anyway,LOL. If you are satisfied with the non-gsinc, just wait til next year. The priced are bound to come down.
