X34 stuttering/motion blur issue

Wondering if others are having this issue or if it's just me, OR if it's some setting I'm missing or something.

Just got my X34 a few weeks ago (got it the first day Newegg sold it) and along with it built a new PC.  PC was not my primary gaming system for the last many years but I'm hoping to change that with this new build.  I only mention this as I never noticed any of the following issues on my old 24" Dell U2412m but I didn't game on it that often, so maybe it's me.

Anyway, to the point the more I use my X34 the more I'm noticing stuttering/motion blur.  I'm not 100% sure if these are the same thing so I'll provide a few examples.

1) Loading up Fallout 3 the other day I noticed this quite a bit.  Say there's a lamp post in front of me, if I pan the camera left and right, back and forth it'll "stutter" and while the camera is in motion we'll see 2-3 lamp post, until the camera stops again.

2) Playing MGS5 just last night, came across a substation surrounded by a black chain-link fence.  Standing still this was a very detailed (very thin lined) chain-link fence.  But if I moved the camera left and right slowly, suddenly those thin black lines became 3-4 times as thick, and if I moved the camera back and forth quickly, it almost became a solid black wall!

I've tried OD on; Off, Normal, and Extreme and it seems to make no difference (with Extreme being the worst setting it seems).  I have the monitor Overclocked and at 100hz, as well as windows set to 100hz too.

My rig is:

i5-4690k (stock 3.9 for now)

16GB ram

EVGA 980Ti Hybrid

and using nVidia drivers 358.59

This is my first G-sync monitor and so far that aspect of it is kind of disappointing since my 65" 1080p Samsung TV and consoles have far less motion-blur/stutter issues than this 34" monitor that cost 'almost' as much as the TV!   It seems really bad when I notice it, which hasn't been every game, but I've also only played/tried about 6-7 on it, but when it's there it's pretty noticable and jarring.
