Ok sounds good.  Your Hynix is running at 1.35V.  So right now I'm completely stumped as to why it does not switch to run at 1.5V since I know that 1.5V is a JEDEC standard for your mainboard.   What CPU do you have?  What BIOS version do you have?

    To find BIOS version...

right click on windows start button

    left click on run

    type msinfo32

    click ok

If you feel like you have the module installed correctly and you have the latest BIOS.....and it still won't work, I would say it's a BIOS bug....and you may be forced to return the kINGSTON and try Crucial DDR3L or cough up $40 bucks for the Hynix.  Forty bucks for a budget 4GB memory module is borderline highway robbery.  That Hynix module is nothing special.  It's budget ram.

Crucial explains that your Hynix DDR3L 1.35V should switch to run at 1.5V here:

    http://forum.crucial.com/t5/Crucial-memory-for-PC-systems/1-35v-1-5v-Dual-Voltage-DDR3-memory/ta-p/71731

Samsung, Micron/Crucial, and Hynix DDR3L 1.35V is all supposed to run at both 1.35V and 1.5V

I wonder if Acer Taiwan knows that we don't have a retail outlet for all Hynix desktop memory?  The best price that I've seen for Hynix desktop memory is what Laurent posted.

Here's a Crucial listing for DDR3L for your computer and you can get 8 GB almost for what they are trying to rip us off for 4 GB of Hynix from China.

Edit: The only other thing I can think of is a CMOS reset of battery pull

    Try this:

    1. shutdown your computer and unplug from electrical outlet....and of course take all normal precautions against static electricity any time you're in a computer case.

    2.  Remove the Hynix memory.

    3.  keep the kingston memory installed  in its same  slot

    4.  Turn on your computer....., and if the kingston works, you should be able to go back and turnoff your computer and now install your Hynix memory too and they should run at 1.5V in dual channel.

    Ok, back on the try,

I tried the Kingston Module in its slot and took the Hynix out, got the Beep!, then i moved the Kingston to the Hynix slot and no beep system started up as normal..so the Kingston module works!

The Bios is NOT the latest one its P11-B1..so thats maybe an option to upgrade to the latest P11-B4 AA  i saw on the Acer support site

    To flash bios....

    1. download latest bios package from Acer's website

    2. extract

    3. read the README Smiley Wink

    4. copy win and rom folders to a USB flash thumb drive

    5.  open an admin command prompt

if your USB thumb drive has a drive letter of F, then it would be

    F:

    cd win

    flash

After it completes the pre-flash routine, then restart your computer.  Hit delete key when prompted and load bios defaults (F9) and then save/exit (F10)....thats it.
