Possible RAM Configurations?

I have an E5-571P-568M, and I was looking to upgrade from 8gb of RAM to 16gb of RAM. Problem is, I have no idea how many sticks the motherboard supports. Looking at some specs, I see that it comes installed with 1x8gb stick, instead of a 2x4gb configuration. I don't know if it supports 2x8gb, or if I'll have to buy a single 16gb stick. The first option is preferred, for both the dual-channeling and the price. I haven't been able to find much about this model in the last few hours of searching, so I don't know where else to turn. Help?

It supports 16GB. Buy another 8GB dimm and put it in the other slot.

Try to match the dimm that's in there or better, buy a matched pair.

    This will work great

I would probably go with this kingston part since it is DDR3L 1600 and CL=11 which is the JEDEC standard for your mainboard.  You should only need to buy 1 module as it should work fine with your existing memory.

I think most people find their memory by either using the memory finder on Kingston's website or the system scanner on Crucial's website.  At least that's what I do.  Your computer probably has other profiles that it will run at, but in my opinion, it is best to run it at the JEDEC profile that Acer shipped it at.  If your computer shipped with DDR3L 1600 CL=11, then as general rule of thumb, you'd want to avoid DDR3L 1600 CL=9 and/or DDR3L 1866 etc...unless you knew for sure it would also run at the JEDEC standard that your computer shipped with.

Most of the time, we as consumers don't really know all of the memory profiles that our computer supports and likewise, we don't know all of the memory profiles that third party memory supports......which is why it's safest to just go with JEDEC profile that our computer shipped with....imo.
