I just joined this forum to discuss the recent problems I have had with ACER.   After less than 18 months, my hard drive failed me.   I called the Acer support number and the tech informed me that my warranty was no longer valid and sent me to India (my second call to India).   After talking with Jose from India, he told me that I would have to purchase an extended warranty for $200 in order for them to be able to fix my pc.   Long story short, Acer was of absolutely NO help in trying to fix my PC.   I took my PC to a local tech and found that my hard drive failed and there was nothing I could do.   I will NEVER buy another Acer!!   Buyer beware!!!
