HELP! Vertical display

PLEASE HELP!!  I was having a small issue with my display, so i went into the menu and selected the "RESET" option.  After I did, my display shifted.  Across the top of my monitor is a black bar, about 1/2 inch thick that is basically out of bounds (i cant even scroll my mouse over it).  The bottom of my display is also about 1/2 inch off the monitor (i can't see the task bar, the start button, the clock, etc...).  I've tried the V. Position, but it does nothing.  i can't change it whatsoever.  It's stuck at 100, no matter what I pus.  But i'm not even sure that's the right option. 

 

if i go into the display settings in windows and i change them, everything initially resets to the proper location on the screen for a moment, but then jumps down that same 1/2 inch again.  How do I shift the display??

Would you please provide more information in regards to the monitor you are having issues with so we can help narrow down possible troubleshooting steps? 

 

In the meantime, here is something I can think of, have you tried hit the auto-config button on the monitor to see if that fixes it?
