A1-830 screen flashing between running lines and display

Year old tablet.  Yesterday the display of the A1-830 started flasing between display and running vertical lines.  When screen is on display it will accept touch and can accept actions requested.  However, can only function between flashing vertical lines.  Verified no pending updates.  Have attempted to look for rogue app, but flashing now happening every couple of secs (ramping up) and unable to see display for long.  At this point not sure if another option other than factory data reset and not even sure if that would resolve issue.  Tablet not recently dropped nor have new apps been installed prior to display glitching.  Any help appreciated.

it looks more an hardware issue than software but a factory reset is always usefull to narrow the culript.

 

you can do the factory reset from recovery instead of android OS.

if the issue persist even after a factory reset, it's an hardware fault.

Thanks for the help!  Turns out it the LED screen took a dive.  Year and 6 months old.  Screen replacement almost as much as a new tablet.  I guess you get what you pay for.
