Iconia W3-810 stuck in boot loop.

I recently recieved an Iconia W3-810 as a gift. And it is stuck ina boot loop. I have created a recovery USB drive, and can get the tablet to start to boot from there. It gets to a screen similar to the original boot loop screen, only this time there is a little dash at the top left hand corner, almost like it was going to boot up into something else. Am I stuck with a tablet I'll have to take in a get repaired, or is there anything I can do from home?

There is a hole next to the SD card slot on a W3 that is a reset. Did you try that ?

I read about that, but I haven't done that. I wasn't sure what to expect or what the ramifications of that would be. Could you please tell me what both of those would be, so I can feel comforted enough to try this?

I tried the pin hole, and it still brouhgt me to the same screen. I've used a boot disk, and recovery USB with no luck either. I have tried to plug it into my computer and see if it would be recognized from there, and it still didn't do that.

Any chance you have an SD card inserted? If so, try without it...

There is no SD card in there, would it make a difference to put one in? I have on I can use. Sorry for the delay on the response.

No, I  was thinking there might be a problem where it was trying to boot from SD instead of the built-in drive. If you don't have a SD card inserted it can't be that. You are going to have to jump through the hoops to get it booted from a USB stick to look at the partitions. Ideally you would have created the recovery disks, but you should be able to get a 32bit Windows install disk booted.

I had to order the discs, that is my next attempt. If I can't do it I may take it to Geeksquad with the installation discs, and see what they can do. Thank you for all the help.
