recently my son had a bad USB disk, and erase the HDD MBR instead the UBS one. the laptop did'nt want to boot, so I tried a bootable program to restore MBR. But the program restore a standard windows 7 MBR. So I guess this is why my Alt-F10 does'nt work anymore!! I enable it in BIOS, and I still have the three partition on my HDD, but when I want to restore to factory default using Alt-F10, the black screen display this:

EDIT BOOT OPTION

Edit Windows boot option for: Microsoft Windows 7 premium (restore)

Path:\windows\system32\winload.exe
Partion:3
Hard Disk:1
[_                                                      ]

I can hit enter to continue, or cancel bring me to a weird memory test...

So my question is, is there a way to restore the original Acer MBR so I can use the D2D again??

Thank you all!!!

If the partitions were removed then no, there is nothing that you can do.

The system would have to come in for service to restore the original partitions.

You can still use the recovery media that you created after first opening the system.

    Thank you for answer!

I still have the partition on my HDD. But my Alt-F10 isn't enable... I tried restore from restore DVD, but it didn't enable my Alt-F10 restore function.  I looked on some forum wich said to go on the PQService partition, look for a BCD.backup file that WinRE create when it repaired the BCD, and reload it oover the actual BCD.   This thing work, my alt-F10 is enable but only once...

If I want to enable it again, I have to go on a disk manager and Activate the PQService partition, wich will make my ALT-F10 function work, but only one time Smiley Happy  after reboot the PQCservice partition isn't active.

The only thing I miss now is How to enable the Alt-F10 restore function permanently without having to activate the PQService partition each time...

That is not an issue I've encountered before.

I'm not sure what is causing the PQService partition to be deactivated on reboot.

I'm glad you were able to find at least a temporary solution for D2D and you do have recovery media.

I'm afraid there's not anything else that I'm going to be able to help with on the forums.

The only recourse I would have would be to send it to service for a rework of the drive and partitions.
