Extensa 4420-5239 CPU Upgrade

Hello,

 

I have an Extensa 4420-5239 that I wanted to upgrade the CPU for. Wondering if I can find out about what the compatible processors are for this laptop. Also wondering what the Socket is and whether the processor is soldered on or whether it can be popped out.

2 x 512 KB L2 cache

1.6/1.8/1.9/2.0/2.2/2.3 GHz, 1600 MHz HyperTransport bus

 

Socket: S1 (S1g1)

Quad core is out of the question? 

 

On a side note, wondering if this laptop can handle/use DDR2 800 ram if I replace the pre-installed ram with 2 sticks of 800 instead of 667.

Hello,

 

1. About processors, only dual core in the specifications.
2. About memory: 667MHz in the specifications. I saw DDR2 533/667/800MHz on the motherboard diagram. The processor manage the memory e.g. AMD Turion 64 X2 TL 66 supports DDR2-400/533/667/800MHz.
