wni7 "starter" vs win7 "pro" ?

I love my new little acer one netbook. I was wondering if anyone has a link to any promo discounts to win 7 home- pro upgrade??  My acer came with a win7 "starter"    it also came with a preloaded link and discount for win8 and like an **** that I am, I spent a day downloading win8 only to find out my machine did not have to screen resolution that is required to run win8. Then I spent a few more days straightening it out again, taking it back to the factory installation. Why the heck doesn't acer make an effort to recognize some models can't run win8 ???  I just bought this new on December 15, 1012 ???

So now I want to upgrade to win7 "home-pro" ???   Does acer offer any discount codes to their customers???

Requirements for the operating system are entirely Microsoft's.

 

Acer does not offer a Windows 7 upgrade program, you would need to source that through Microsoft or a local retailer.
