Switch 10 windows 10 upgrade - pros and cons

I'm thinking of doing the Windows 10 upgrade on my 64GB Switch 10. However, I'm very much of the "if it aint broke , don't fix it" view, particularly as 8.1 is working very well. If I do the upgrade what kind of performance improvements (or otherwise) am I likely to see, and how much of a hit will I take in terms of storage capacity.

No real hit as long as you keep the recovery files (up to 10 GB) offline, I am running on several 32GB tabs now.

Can make it look just like a Win 7 desktop except the start key is square if you want. Does make a lot more use of the right mouse key. Have just about everything working now though in a few cases (Intel DPTF) I had to revert to the most recent Acer driver from the latest Intel.

Were a lot of teething pains (July release did not support Clover Trail) but these seem to be getting fixed.

Personally find it much better than 8 and somewhat better than 8.1. Biggest issue is that they moved things around (System Image now under File History and not Recovery) and Edge is not ready for prime time (no "save as") but if you dig a bit Internet Explorer is still there just a little hard to find.

Also with my setup I need Screen Resolution a lot and need to force a desktop for it to be a right click. (10 is much more mobile designed with full screen windows and uses alt-tab or win-tab to switch contexts except double keys are not easy on a touch scream.

Just traveled with an 8" tab & win 10. Hardest thing was turning the GPS on (must enable "location services") & while TSA requires a laptop to be removed from a case, a tab can be left in a suitcase. Think will take a 10" for the next trip, GPS in my phone is fine.

ps for any tab, a case with keyboard makes life a lot easier particularly when an on-screen keyboard covers what you are doing. Just make sure you have the right plug or adapter.
