Hi, All. I tried to upgrade the ram in my AXC600-NR308 desktop from GB to 8 GB with no success. Instead I got 4 short Post Beep. the 2 pices of 4 GB will work individually but not together. Would appreciated any assistance in getting my PC to work with 8 GB of RAM. Thank you.

Earl.

    Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

    Hello,

Your desktop has only one original memory module. The next one must be identical.

Here are the original memory modules:

    Spoiler
    KN.4GB03.010DIMM.4GB.DDR3-1333.NANYA
    KN.4GB07.004DIMM.4GB.DDR3-1600.KINGSTON
    KN.4GB0C.003DIMM.4GB.DDRIII.1600.A-DATA
    KN.4GB0H.003DIMM.4GB.DDR3-1600.UNIFOSA

On your original memory module, you'll find the part number under the barcode.

    Example: KN4GB03010.....=KN.4GB03.010

    What's yours?

    Hi Laurent_14,

    Thanks for your response.

    my original memory module: KN4GB07004....

I have the original memory modules from my old SX2110G-UW24 GateWay Desktop, which Carry's an Acer D1F-AD motherboard. It came with 6GB of RAM. The #. are KN4GB07009.... & KN2GB07014.... respectively.

This piece of 4GB is what I tried to add to my PC. so as to get 8Gb of RAM. That combination did not work nor any other combination of these 3 pieces of RAM in this email.

I've not try the piece of 2GB by itself however my old 4GB do work by it self.

Looking forward to hear from you again.

    Earl.

    Hello,

    I understood your issue!

    Gateway desktop:

    KN.4GB07.009 - KINGSTON 4Gb - DDR3L (1.35V) - 1600MHz

    KN.2GB07.014 - KINGSTON 2Gb - DDR3L (1.35V) - 1600MHz

    Acer desktop:

    KN.4GB07 004 - KINGSTON 4Gb - DDR3 (1.50V) - 1600MHz

Your desktop only supports DDR3 memory module.

    Hi, Laurent_14.

Please forgive me,for i'm a little confused. Can you clarify?

Individually all 3 pieces of RAM will work in my computer. I know this because I tried them all. and that's the thing, they only work, if only one piece is install at a time. try putting in two pieces in any combination and thats when you get the 4 short Post Beep and the Pc donot come on. (I really do apologise for repeating myself).

Physically all 3 pieces of RAM are the same, (they fit and work in my Pc). The writings on all of them say DDR3 none of them say DDR3L.

Also, if the 2 pieces from my old Pc which amounts to 6GB; works one at atime in this Pc, why cann't they both work together in this Pc?

looking forward to hear from you.

    Hello,

I checked again the part numbers and my informations are correct.

    DDR3+DDR3=YES

    DDR3L+DDR3=NO

DDR3L+DDR3L=ODD because your desktop only supports DDR3 memory.

    Hi,Laurent_14

    I beg your indulgences.

I understand the equation in your last reply. I get it, you're saying that my pc only support DDR3 memory modules, it does not supports DDR3L memory modules. That’s clear to me.

I'm saying, the KN4GB070093251a1e73000.... & the KN2GB070143251988a3000....from my old desktop (sx2110g-uw24) will actually work in this pc but only one by one.

Clearly, this is contrary to what you are saying.

In fact, the 4GB has been working in this pc from since April of this year running Win.8.1 with no problems.

Third party software (cpu-z & crucial scan) has scan my pc and confirm my memory to be DDR3. The specs on my old pc (sx2110g-uw24) according to Gateway & CNET says its DDR3, Not DDR3L. and as I search the internet for DDR3L the reply would indicate laptop memory (mobile Devices). Also According to Difference Between .com DDR3l: 204 pins & DDR3: 240 pins.

Again, I understand that the modules must be of the same frequency an all in order to function together.

Something must be wrong here. I beg that you recheck your information with a view for confirmation. If it’s me that’s wrong then, I apologize in advance. Please forgive me for I’m not an expert.
