Aspire 5742 recovery discs issue

Hello I have an Acer Aspire 5742-6838 Windows 7 home premium.
My problem is that stole my notebook and three weeks after police found my notebook. But I found with surprise that formatted the hard disk and lost all my files and the original windows.
This machine had preinstalled windows, microsoft download wanted but they tell me I have to contact with Acer.
My question is: who has to provide me the windows? or with whom I have to contact me?

another question: if I download a windows like mine and I use my key work?
or it has to be brought preinstalled as factory?

it will work, not need the official Acer recovery to run it; the only difference will be drivers.

 

with the stock windows installation media, you will need to download and install by yourself.

with Acer erecovery media, drivers and Acer application are embedded.

My fear was that no windows are active, so I will install and download all the drivers.
