You first need to check if there is a built-in camera on your laptop. The camera is usually placed on the top-center of the screen. If there is a camera, follow the steps below and see if that helps to take a picture:
    1. Open the "Start" menu and then select "Control Panel". A new window will pop up with two rows of icons. Click on the text on the side panel that says "Switch to Classic View."
    2. Double-click on the icon that says "Scanners and Cameras." A new window will pop up. Double-click the "Webcam" icon.
    3. You will see a live video stream from the camera. Once you have the subject you want in the frame, press the "Take Picture" button at the bottom of the window. The picture will be saved in your default "Webcam" folder

If you computer is shipped wiht windows 8, you may use the camera app.

If it has windows 7 you may download and use applications like Photo-booth, MyCam, or any other webcam applications
