S7-392 Not charging / booting

Hi,

 

I have a S7-392, approimately 23 months old. I left my turned on overnight (I've done this in the past with no issues) however this morning the laptop wouldn't boot or charge when I plugged it in.

 

The charging lights aren't working and I tried resetting the battery with a paperclip but this didn't help. 

 

Unfortunately I also can't contact Acer Support as I don't have a SNID - this is not printed on the base of the laptop like it is for other models and the laptop won't boot so I can't get it from the BIOS. The only unique number that I have is my Windows 8 product key.

 

Can anyone suggest a solution or a way to get the SNID for my laptop?

    eoinlark,

     

    On the bottom there is a screw near the rear of the machine that could be loose (#1 in the picture), check and see if you can tighten it down and see if that resolves the problem. It takes a different type of screwdriver, be careful.
