I have Aspire 5738.

New here and really need some help. I recently installed Windows 8 to give it a try, most things went well and transferred over successfully. However I am now having great trouble with my graphics driver as it does not work and I cannot find a windows 8 version of the driver anywhere!

The only details I have about my graphics card is what I have found in my device manager which calls it a (Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)).

I am having a similiar problem.  Microsoft says it is happenng worldwide.  I am unable to access the internet.  I am writing this on a Dell laptop, so I know it's not the router or ISP.

The message I received is "The "local Area Connection" adaptor is not working properly.  The Qualcomm Atheras AR5WB22 Wireless Network Adaptor is experiencing driver or hardware related problems."

Since I can't access the internet, Microsoft cannot remotely control my computer to find problem, or update to driver.

    Anyone have a solution?

    Thanks,  desertlover
