Changing the default GPU

I am using an Acer V17 Nitro - Black Edition. Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M, 8GB RAM, Windows 8.1 and some Intel 4000 something or other. I refer to it like that because I want to disable it!

Heres the lowdown:

For my own personal reasons, I want to make my Nvidia GPU the default GPU for my PC. Unfortunately, it hasn't been easy; I have scoured the internet for a way to do this and finally decided on removing the whole optimus deal altogether. So I go into the BIOS and, lo and behold, there isn't a single option that has anything to do with the GPU!

If I disable the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, Windows completely ignores the Nvidia GPU and uses some stupid Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, and I can't even open the Nvidia control panel because it apparently doesn't think that Nvidia can be used as a display adapter!

Hell, I tried to do that second screen thing, but it only recognizes the Intel. I couldn't care less about my battery power, because I know that's what this is all about. 'Use the Intel for normal stuff and use the Nvidia for gaming'. My problem is the 'by force' attatched to that sentence.

Please help me, I'm at my wits end and THIS close from applying the baseball bat.

I have exactly the same problem but I believe there is no solution to it because both an external and  the normal laptop monitor is connected to the main board not to the geforce gtx which makes it impossible to set it as default (correct me if I'm wrong). Well, my answer is a bit late but maybe it stops others from searching for a solution.
