Authenticating wifi

Just bought my 15 year old son an Acer Iconia (certified refurbished) in June and can't figure out how to get my wifi to authenticate. Keeps saying "Authentification Problem". Correct password has been used. Reset the machine once already. It also continually shuts off and won't stay charged. I thought it came with a 7-hour battery.

Contact the seller, probably an hardware issue, at least on battery.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Thank you IronFly,

I figured out the reason it won't stay on (sleep mode was set low), haven't tried it solely on battery to see how long it takes to run out the battery.

I bought it off Amazon from Acer (it's refurbished). Still haven't figured out the authentification thing to get it online.

In almost all cases an authentication issue like yours comes from not matching case RiGhT during the password entry. Double, triple and quadruple check it. Smiley Happy

    Thanks billsey,

I watch as I enter each character to make sure it's the correct one. I have fat fingers & often hit the wrong key.

OK, so the problem is more likely a corrupted wireless driver than a mistype of the password. Which OS is installed (Settings; About tablet; Build number)?
