Hi everybody,
I've just joined this forum. I have ordered and Acer Aspire E5-521laptop from ebay and I'm waiting to receive it. I want to use it as a server to host my gaming website. That's because, first, after comparing bluehost, hostgator and godaddy as top web hosting providers I chose godaddy because I was on a tight budget and Godaddy offered cheap web hosting plans with monthly payment options. But after purchasing a 3month package of their shared hosting account they suspended my website within the first week and told me I must purchase one of their vps or dedicated servers! And these services cost about 10 times more than their shared hosting accounts!
Anyway, one of my friends recommended using a laptop to host my website and because he had done this before by an Acer laptop I ordered one from ebay for $250.
I don't have any experience with the process of using a laptop as a server, so I guess I will have some problems in doing that. So I joined this forum to ask my later questions regarding this process.
I look forward to receiving my laptop,
