function lock on external numeric keyboard with acer one 14

Member Posts: 1 New User

Hello community,

I have recently purchased an Acer One 14 laptop. There was an issue with num lock being disabled but this has been fixed with the FNKey and Num Lock. However, i have similar issue with an ITech external numeric keyboard. The external numeric keyboard works fine but the letters such as U, I, O, P display come up with numbers 4, 5, 6 and - respectively. FN key does not work in this instance.

Thank you for your suggestions.

It's a keyboard driver issue. Since the keyboard doesn't know aboiut your external numberpad, it assumes that numlock should turn those keys to numbers. Doesn't the external number pad have an option to work as numbers even with the numlock off?
