HELP! No sound

Hello! I would really appreciate some help!

 

I have an Acer Aspire E5-571-589Q, i've had it almost a year now and all has been fine until a few days ago.

Suddenly there was no sound from the computer at all, none from the speakers and when headphones are plugged in they only play extremely quiet/fuzzy audio or only one layer (e.g music and no voices). However the sound will work when i plug in my USB headset or speakers. I did not spill anything on it and there is no indication of error.

 

I've tried using the device manager and audio settings in all programmes to no avail, i've tried resetting Windows audio service and have also scanned the computer with Norton full system and power eraser- no errors or malware.

 

When checked all the audio settings say the devices are functioning correctly although they don't work, and the little visualizer goes up and down how it should when no sound is come out. I've made sure the speakers are set at default and its not on mute anywere.

If it just recently up and started, it could be from a Windows update, if you would like to try a system restore and see if that resolves it.
