Battery Aspire One

My dad bought me an Apire One brand new for Christmas a few years ago but as soon as I started using it it would freeze after no more than 10 minutes and I'd have to turn it off and on again to continue what I was doing. Therefore I stopped using it and didn't tell my dad about it so it never got fixed. I've just rediscovered it and want to see if I can fix the problem. The nextbook also doesn't turn on without the charger plugged in and if I take the charger out while it's on it will automatically turn off. It also states no battery is detected. This problem had arised from the laptop being brand new so what could be the problem and how can I fix it?

    LaurenRose95,

Sorry to hear that you had problems with the netbook right from the get go. Smiley Sad

The system locking up could be a couple things, corrupt driver, bad hardware, corrupt operating system. Typically reloading the system or running a system restore to when it worked right would be the best course of action.

The good news is you might be able to purchase a battery from Acer or another place.

The bad news is the system is out of warranty and you would probably have to pay for a repair if that would still be an option. You would have to call the local Acer team in your area to find out, you could always take it to a local technician and see what they could do if that isn't an option with Acer.
