Acer Aspire V5

CPU: i5 4200U 1.6GHz + Turbo up to 2.6GHz

Graphics: Intel 4400 HD

8.1GB RAM

I have a question regarding the temperature of my laptop while gaming. First of all i know it is not a laptop that is made for gaming so i usually run my games at the lowest resolution and lowest graphics possible.

When i play games that are quite CPU demanding like Civ5, i check the temperature of the CPU and it usually goes up from 62-63 to 69-70 celsius for long periods of time. (I also use a laptop cooling pad with 2 fans).

I wanted to know if these temps are okay for my laptop for extended periods

    furansowa,

The maximum temperature of that processor is 100 degree Celcius, if I'm not mistaken. Since it is doubling as CPU and GPU technically, it's going to get hotter as it's working harder. I dont think that you are in any danger of burning the CPU out, just make sure that you keep the ventilation clean of obstruction so it can breath.
