Acer E700

Nice phone offering three sim cards etc. BUT

Constant notifications that I need to change the Disk drive: “Do you want to change where you store your information?” Several times a day. Especially after a restart.

Sometimes the SD card is empty, nothing there, and it cannot be found, then it is back again?
After a restart usually.

The phone needs to be restarted every day or it cannot make a call, or receive a phone call.

The 3.5 jack does not work properly, this is seemingly a common problem that has been discussed on the Internet:
http://community.acer.com/t5/Smartphones/Acer-Liquid-E700-problem-with-headphone-jack-not-working/td-p/319311

When you put the headset in the 3.5 jack (hole) it starts to click, and the sound is dampened.

I have also tried many headphones, same problem. I have resolved the issue to some extent, but it meant I had to buy a Bluetooth speaker/headset (plantronics) for 90 euros, so I can listen to music.
But I cannot use the FM radio without a normal headset. Not a problem, hardly ever listen to the radio!

I also receive notifications that I have removed the SD card.
Then I am told that the SD Card is ready: “Do you want to change the default write disk?”
Cancel or OK.

Also: “You can safely remove the SD card.”
I dismiss a New Update several times per day.
I am told several times a day that Slot 3: No Sim card is detected.

I have downloaded an update and will check to see what it is like after this update.
NO CHANGE, it is exactly the same.

Immediately after the update was installed, a new update was notified, so I updated once more.
This one was 74MB.

I have an E700 and i don't have any of your issue (i don't use headphones, so i can't test the issue).

have you tried another SD card?

if so, probably your device has an hardware issue, so it's better if you contact your Acer support service or seller.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Yes, certainly the SD card could be causing some of the problems. And yes the headphones issue is most likely a hardware issue. I will try and change the card/buy a new one. Thanks for that. And of course when I get the chance I will give it back to Acer to be fixed.
