Hi
There is a big problem with my laptop when i have Windows 8.1 on it. I can stay only on desktop, write something on office, or surf on internet, when my laptop hangs randomly and send "buzzing" sound from speakers. Only power off helps here. It happens only on Windows 8.1. On Windows 7 problem didn't exist. Any help?

    You've probably already checked to make sure all cables are plugged in properly?

    I would probably save all my important files to a backup and then reset the computer to factory settings.

    And then maybe decide if you want to stay with Windows 7 for 54 more days until Windows 10 is released or reinstall Windows 8.1 again.

    As per the details mentioned on Acer website, Aspire 5750G is compatible only with Windows 7 and Windows 8. As you are running Windows 8.1 on it, you may face some unanticipated challenges. In your case, it is advised to contact Acer support using the following link for further assistance:

    Hope this will help you.

    Yes, I see now that people were having problems with Windows 8 and Windows 10 technical preview on that computer:

    To check the Windows compatibility for Aspire 5750G, you can follow the steps below:
    1. Go to the link http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
    2. Type Aspire 5750G in the box below "Search by Product Model" and click "Search".
    3. Once your laptop details are displayed, click on the drop-down menu besides "Operating System" to check Windows compatibility details.

    Hope this will help you.

    @GuruAid-CS

    Thanks for providing the link and instructions.

    I noticed that none of the Acer products that are currently being sold today list Windows 10 as an OS on the link you provided.  And of course we know that many Acer products sold in the last few years including products being sold today will be fully compatible with Windows 10.

    So perhaps we'll have to find a better way to determine/predict if an Acer product will be compatible with Windows 10.

    Thanks again.
