Chromebook 13 (ACNXMPRED004)/ 802.11AC / Poor speed performance
I got a new Acer Chromebook and I was wondering the reason why the speed is poor for the Wifi.
The router I use is Asus RT-AC68U.
My internet speed is 1000/100M. If I run Speedtest.net with the chromebook the download speed is around 200 Mbps. I have done the test over and over again. Always basically the same result.
I find the result rather poor compared to my Lenovo (chip Intel AC 7260). With that laptop I get always over 400 Mbps.
By using a cable, the download speed is around 900 Mbps with Lenovo. With the Chromebook I cannot test, since the RJ-45 -slot is missing.
So, the question is… Is there anything I can do to improve the speed with my Chromebook 13? Or is 200 Mbps the best it can do?
I have tested the computers also with another router, but I do not have a 2nd AC-router, so they were tested with 802.11n -router. The speed drops to 100 Mbps.
Here is some info of the test:

Could be your other computer is using 160MHz channels, could be one of the antennas is disconnected, could be chipset limitations...
