I NEED HELP!!!

hi. when i flip down or go into screen saver mode and want to use my Aspire E1-572G again it won't turn on the screen. it's still on cause i can here the fans running and the small lights to the right of the SD card tray are on. the only way it'l start is if i hold down the power button until it turns off completely and the press it again to start it up. i have tried to connect an external monitor to see if that works but it still won't turn on. Thanks in advance

Yo can try changing the Lid close action to Do nothing:

 

1. Open Control Panel and open and then clicking Power Options.

2. On the Select a power plan page, click Change plan settings for the plan that you want to change.

3. On the Change settings for the plan page, click Change advanced power settings.

4. On the Advanced settings tab, expand Power buttons and lid, expand Lid close action, choose Do nothing.
