It was plugged in and all the sudden shut off. And now it's basically dead. You push the power button and get absolutely nothing. No lights, nothing. I tried the power reset with the pinhold but that did not help. Still get nothing. I left it plugged in and still nothing. Not sure what is dead or casuing this.

Thanks!

Check all of the outlets in the room that your computer is in.  You may need to reset the GFI.

I have a computer that is not connected to a GFI outlet, but if the GFI trips in a different room, them my computer gets no power until I reset the
    GFI.

Try plugging something else in to same outlet that your computer is plugged in to.  See if it works.

It's my gf's computer and I tried it at my apartment and it didn't work. So it isn't the outlet. I had left it plugged into my oulet for a while and still nothing when I tried to turn it on. It seems dead as dead can be. Not sure if it's due to lack of power or something else.

Let me also add that I even tried a different power cord, and that didn't work either.
