Hello,

I would like to install Windows 7 on my notebook Extensa 5630ez. Laptop has 1.30 BIOS version which support XP/Vista OS. As I see there is a 1.34 version of BIOS which support Windows 7 OS. Please let me know how to update BIOS under DOS.

create a bootable DOS USB flash drive with a tool like Rufus.

    http://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US

    as options choose:

    BIOS/ MBR

    FAT32 as file system

and choose to create a bootable MS-DOS media

once did it, copy the content of the DOS folder to the USB media.

put the USB media to your laptop, boot pressing F12 and choose to boot from the USB device, once in the DOS prompt, type phlash16.exe

    press enter

    if it doesn't work,

    type

    ACERACDC.exe

    press enter

Do it with AC charger connected and battery charged.
