Iconia A1-810 Unable to reset/reboot from Acer logo screen.

I have an Iconia A1-810, running Kit Kat, after a Google Services update a few days ago I started to notice that my tablet would do a full power off while in Sleep mode. Then the other day while it was fully charged and in sleep mode I heard my tablet reboot/vibrate and then the screen was stuck on the Acer logo loading screen.

I turned on and off the tablet and plugged it back in but while I could turn it off and back on, it would stay stuck on the Acer logo. I tried the restore set-up setting (Power Up/Hold Volume up, etc.) multiple times and when it does power past the logo it would just show the "No Command" blank screen with no options of the restore/reboot after it.

Is my tablet bricked now with the OS corruupted? It was funcitoning fine previously until just a day before, never rooted, everything was stock.

have you tried to press the power button on the "no command" screen?

Yes, when I press the Power button while on the No Command screen the unit just shuts down again. I've even tried the pin-hole reset and that just shuts down the tablet too.

Contact the Acer support service if still under warranty.

I have found a solution to this issue that works with my A1 811 every time it locks up and gets stuck on the Acer boot logo.

These steps must be followed EXACTLY as shown below and in order, otherwise it won't work.

    1) Unplug from mains electricity
    2) Remove SD Card
    3) Reboot Aso that Acer in big letters appears on screen
    4) Leave until battery has drained completely, can take 24 hours
    5) When tablet has run out of battery and switched off plug in and charge for 1 hour
    6) Switch off charger and unplug from mains power
    7) Reboot
    8) Insert SD Card
