Acer Aspire ES1-512 wifi range has decreased

From when I got my Aspire a few months ago until a few days ago, I have easily been anle to connect to the wifi from my desk around 10m away from the router. But now, whenever I go to my desk, the internet just stops. Websites won't load and the bars down in the corner will go down to "Not connected, connections are available". The laptop will then reconnect but I still won't be able to access the internet. Then it goes back to the "Not Connected" symbol and the process repeats. Currently, I am about 1m away from the router and everything is fine but if I move it, it won't connect. What has gone wrong and i there anything I can do to fix it?

if you are still under warranty, contact your regional Acer service center.
